Boon Pin is an experienced commercial litigator admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 1999. He is the co founder and managing partner of Messrs BP ANG & TAN, an established legal firm in Bukit Mertajam, Penang since 2006.
He is currently focussing on constructions related disputes, insolvency, shareholders, corporate liquidation, succession & estate and general civil disputes. He had also represented clients in various commercial disputes include issues concerning payment claims vide CIPAA proceedings, variation works, liquidated damages and other contractual and land disputes.
He has been empanelled with the Asian International Arbitration Centre as Adjudicator in hearing and adjudicating various constructions related disputes.
In addition, he is also experienced in corporate/ commercial and individual conveyancing; security documentation for banks and drafting of various commercial agreements.

Mr. Tan is also involved in local community work wherein he is the legal advisor for Persatuan Tan Sie Eng Chuan Tong and also Bukit Mertajam Buddhist Meditation Centre.
Mr. Tan Loon Cheang was admitted to the Malaysian Bar on 10/2/2001 as an Advocate & Solicitor.
A) CONVEYANCING
He was involved mainly and have vast experience in conveyancing matters which consist of amongst others, negotiation of sale and purchase of properties, sale and purchase involving Developers, sub-sale of properties, sale and purchase of estate lands, retail banking & financing, Islamic banking & financing and commercial banking & financing. Services includes attending meetings with clients and providing legal advise and solutions to clients’ needs, negotiating and drafting terms of agreements.
B) CORPORATE
Mr. Tan have experience and his advice has been sought in commercial matters which includes partnership matters (formation of partnership, drafting of partnership agreement and also dissolution of partnership), sales and purchase of company shares, shareholders agreement, sale and purchase of business, franchise agreement, distributorship agreement, joint venture agreements and joint development agreement. C) LITIGATION
He is also involved in litigation matters, both contentious and non-contentious. Amongst the litigation matters conducted by him are banking litigations, family laws matters, succession (probate and letter of administration), contractual disputes, goods sold and delivered, recovery of debts, employer/employee disputes, industrial relation, labour law, commercial disputes, companies winding-up and bankruptcy matters. Khay Yann obtained her LL. B (Hons.) degree from the Multimedia University in 2019. She chambered in Messrs BP Ang & Tan (BPAT) and was called to the Bar in September 2020. Following her call, she continued her legal career with BPAT as a legal associate until 2025 where she was admitted as a partner of the firm.
Throughout the years of practice, Khay Yann has gained extensive experience in diverse areas of law particularly in conveyancing and real estate, banking and finance as well as general civil litigation.
She currently handles and advises on housing development projects; sub-sales involving residential and commercial properties; various banking loans including both conventional and Islamic banking relate to sale and purchase transactions, property construction financing, refinancing and transactions arising from multi-trade lines; lease and tenancyas well as drafting of commercial agreements ranging from share sale agreement, shareholder agreement, partnership agreement, limited liability partnership agreementand settlement agreement. She is actively involved in negotiating terms for commercial transactions and financial arrangements, ensuring strategic and favourable outcomes for her clients.
In addition, she also takes part and assists in some general civil litigation cases be it contested or non-contentious matters particularly in, family law matters, debt recovery, bankruptcy, companies winding-up, construction related disputes, hire purchase, contractual disputes, employment, land dispute, defamation, will, probate and administration of estates and etc.

Yu Jia obtained her LL.B from the University of London and holds a Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP). She was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in December 2022.
Since commencing her legal career with Messrs BP Ang & Tan, Yu Jia has accumulated extensive experience in real estate and property transactions, including land disposal and acquisition, leasing and tenancy arrangements, and joint ventures for property development. Her expertise also extends to will drafting and estate planning.
In addition to her conveyancing practice, Yu Jia has been actively involved in banking and finance matters, advising financial institutions on project financing, property financing, corporate banking, refinancing, personal financing, and construction finance.
Her practice also encompasses corporate and commercial law, where she assists in drafting a wide range of agreements, including joint venture agreements, private share transactions, and consultancy agreements.
